Welcome Home Charlie!

I’m excited to share the newest addition to the garage, this 1949 Ford 4 door sedan that we named “Charlie”. We decided to name the car after the previous owner who had passed away. And according to the owner's son who sold us the car, Charles had spent countless years working on and enjoying this car.

From what I can tell, “Charlie” has been sitting for over 10 years and currently doesn’t run, so it's definitely going to need some work. However, this old 49 is a real classic and not in horrible shape for being 74 years old. It's got a 239 cu-in flathead V8 engine and a manual 3 speed on the tree transmission. We're really excited to get started on this project, we’ve already got some parts ordered and on the way. We can't wait to share this journey with you all, so stay tuned.

Watch the first episode of “Charlie”, the story of a 1949 Ford Custom.
